Our
Story
Les Petits Écoliers has been proudly serving the bilingual community in St Albans and beyond since 2012. What started as a small initiative led by three French mums, Christelle, Annelaure, and Caroline, has grown into a vibrant and thriving Saturday school welcoming nearly 200 children from across Hertfordshire.

We began with just four teachers and a handful of bilingual classes. Thanks to the commitment of our team and the support of local families, we now offer a wide range of classes for children from 3 to 16 years old.

As mothers of bilingual children ourselves, we’ve seen firsthand how valuable it is for children to strengthen their French language skills and develop a deeper connection to French culture and heritage. The school is more than just language learning, it’s a place for belonging, identity, and community.

In 2025, Christelle took over full leadership of Les Petits Écoliers and continues to lead the school with the same energy, creativity, and passion that defined our early years. A qualified French teacher during the week, Christelle brings her educational expertise and love for teaching to every class and every student.
We remain proud of what we’ve built together and excited for what’s to come under Christelle’s direction.

We love to hear from families and are always open to feedback or new ideas. Get in touch with us by email — your input helps us grow.
